Registering StudentDocket
Once you have purchased StudentDocket on your desktop browser from www.StudentDocket.com, you will be e-mailed a registration key. We recommend that you purchase using an e-mail address that points to your Blackberry device, as this will allow you to simply copy/paste the code into StudentDocket. Launch StudentDocket, press the Blackberry key and select about. You can now paste your key into the provided space and press enter.

Creating a Class
Either press the "s" hotkey, select the "new class" icon from the toolbar, or press the Blackberry button and select "new class". You can now input all of the required data into the screen. While many of the data options can be neglected, we recommend that you input the class times at the very least. When creating a new task or project in the future, you will have the option of setting the task due on the next day of class. StudentDocket will use the information you enter here to set the due date in this case.
NOTE:when using the repeat weekly function, you will need to first set the Date Time value to the first day of class, and then use the "space" key when selecting days. This is because Blackberry does not allow us to bind the pearl button. We're working on a way to make this a little more user friendly.

Creating a Project
Either press the "p" hotkey, select the "New Project" icon from the toolbar, or press the Blackberry button and select "New Project". You can now input all of the required data into the screen. Note that the due date is considered the due date for the entire project, and the start reminding date is the date that the project will begin showing up on your task screen. For example, if you'd like the project to only be displayed 2 months from now, set that as the begin reminding date. The project will remain hidden from view until this date is reached.
Once the project has been created, you can press the Blackberry button and select "Add Tasks" to add tasks or milestones to the project. Once you are done, select "Save". Tasks can be edited, added, or removed at a later time from within the Project screen.

Creating a Task
Either press the "t" hotkey, select the "New Task" icon from the toolbar, or press the Blackberry button and select "New Task". You can now input all the required data into the screen. If it's convenient, you can use the "Due As" option to quick-set the due date to commonly used dates. Options include tomorrow, after 7 days, or next class. Please note that next class will only work if you setup the class times when setting up the class. Also note that if you are going to be using the Weekly repeat function you will need to first set the original due date and then use the "Space" key when selecting days. This is because Blackberry does not allow us to bind the pearl button. Once all your information has been inputed select "Save".

Cleaning out StudentDocket
When the time comes, you may need to clean all of your data out of StudentDocket. The easiest way to do this is to press the Blackberry button while highlighting each class and selecting "delete". This will remove the class and all tasks or projects under it. Alternatively, if you'd like to simply remove all completed tasks or projects, but leave the classes and unfinished tasks in place, you can press the Blackberry key and select "Delete Completed".
